Little Stand Daimyo store — Restaurant in Fukuoka

Lovely hole-in-the-wall stand along the backroads of Daimyo specializing in coffees, latté, and their famous Bali Chai topped with a delicious thick mound of fresh hand-piped, sweetened whipped cream. Indoor seating is not available but you may enjoy your purchases while at one of the outdoor tables or take it to-go and have it at one of the benches at Kego Park near the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line.

The first time I came, I found out the location was closed for the Fukuoka Marathon. I made sure to come by again the following day with my childhood friend since it’s a local favorite and I am so glad we did. The Bali Chai beverage and Bali Chai pudding became my absolute favorite drink and dessert items!

There are retail items that make for great gifts available for those interested. Next time, I will be sure to travel with larger luggage to ensure I can buy a little bit of everything for my coffee and snack...

While the place seemed to be hyped up for the bari-chai and their other non-coffee drinks, it delivered exceptional coffee as well.

I ordered a cortado which was quite pleasant with notes of berries and chocolate, and was ultimately a balanced cup. I did wish I could drink more coffee to explore his other offerings.

We also tried the bari-chai which was a fun drink; sweet, creamy, with a pleasant lingering note of spice as the aftertaste.

The barista was friendly and explained the bean options well in english, even though he didn’t appear to be a native speaker.

My only caveat is that seating here is quite limited and while I was lucky enough to get a seat, I saw a few other customers who unfortunately only had to...

Tried their flat white, filter coffee, and hojicha barichai. You can't go wrong with any order here. Serving might be a bit small for others, though it's just right for me given the quality! One of the best coffee shops in Daimyo area in terms of barista skills and service. Thank you!

Also tried their espresso syrup which was a bit too sweet even when diluted in a lot of milk. Give it a try though as it lasts for a long time! :)
