Visit number 7 to this restaurant after discovering it about 1 year ago. They show high consistency in the fish freshness and deliciousness, in the quality of the cuts by the chefs and the overall very appealing presentation of the dishes. The tuna in all its forms just melts in your mouth! Service is prompt and efficient. The restaurant staff are almost all the same as when they opened, they work together extremely well, you could think they are all best friends! The staff remembers us from previous visits, which adds to the good feeling of eating again and again at this inexpensive place. Reservations for dinner highly recommended as a queue will rapidly form outside even before they open! With so many delicious food options in Fukuoka, the fact that we keep returning there says a lot about the quality of this...

Perfectly fresh fish, generous portions, delicious side dishes, relaxing jazz music in background with dynamic nice staff. I have been eating sashimi around the world and in Japan for over 25 years and this is definitely in the top 10% all types/ styles considered. I went in for lunch. The quality of the farmed blue fin tuna (from a nearby island, Tsushima) with 4 types of cuts was truly amazing, served on a bowl of rice with nori and tororo(grated mountain yam) and tsukemono. So I returned for dinner. And again the next day for lunch but this time i took a different dish: salmon with salmon roe surrounding toro (minced) topped with raw egg yolk. Service is rapid and worth any waiting line! (I was lucky that the longest I waited was about 10 minutes, as the restaurant has only been opened for 3 months at this time—...

Excellent presentation, and looks just like the pictures. Extremely fresh and bountiful cuts of tuna and salmon. They did not skimp on the portion sizes, a regular sized rice is more than enough for one person. Each donburi comes with some sides.

Tip for anyone eating here: Take the sashimi out of the bowl and set them off to the side so they do not get warmed up by the rice!
