One of the best ramen shops which capture the spirit of Hakata style ramen!
I ordered their Hakata style tonkotsu ramen with a side of hitokuchi/bite-sized qyoza for lunch. The star was the tonkotsu broth which was extremely flavorful, creamy and umami without being overly fatty which shows the level of expertise and craftmanship for creating the perfect broth. The noodles had a nice spring in them and captures the broth with each noodle slurp. The char siu was grilled perfectly and was as soft as butter with each bite and the eggs had a nice runny yolk which added more creaminess to the dish. The qyoza was fried on one side and was overall delicious and tasty with each gyoza.
Overall, I recommend people take the path less travelled and try this locally ran shop instead of going for the chains like Ichiran. You will not be...

Third time lucky, previous visits the line would reach the lane/street.
Broth is both tasty and rich. Not all ramen places do both well but this restaurant has. While rich in fat and flavour, they don’t have floating fats like other places, I personally don’t mind but my wife feels guilty ‘seeing the fat’.
Chasu is a little lean but rich broth makes up for it. The addition of mince gives a great mouth feel of meat when slurping the soup.
Service is really good. First restaurant to offer scissors for my kid’s noodles (we’ve been in Japan nearly 3 months). Kid’s set is great, rice ball, small ramen and dumplings for ¥500.
Other than the line which you can’t do anything about, highly recommend this place if you’re in...
Read moreVery respectable ramen, although a slight extra touch of salt would've been perfect for the broth. Nothing wrong with it - it's flavorful but just veered more towards the sweet/umami profile and I thought it needed a little bit more savoriness to balance things. Chasu was appropriately thin and torched. Gyoza was dainty, crispy and light.
Beware though - I like a bit of spice in my ramen, and level 2 was enough to break me into a sweat. And they go all the way to level 10!
English menu is available. Clean and comfortable shop. Would...
