A lot of people may be put off when they hear about intestine hotpot but I would highly recommend trying it before you knock it. If it still doesn’t fancy your taste, this place has a bunch of other tasty hotpot for a pretty affordable price.
I came here on a weekend night with a group of 6 after being unable to dine at others due to group size and a lack of reservation. This place was a little hard to find as it’s tucked on the second floor which you enter via a side entrance of the first floor building. They were able to seat us immediately even without a reservation. The restaurant itself is very spacious and has a modern aesthetic to it.
We all got the dinner course which came in two big pots for us to share. Both the miso and soy sauce broth we picked were delicious! Serving size is pretty big and you also get a free refill on the hotpot stuff. The course comes with a variety of appetizers and dessert at the end so very well worth the price.
Staff was extremely friendly and really tried their best with English at first until we let them know a few of us spoke Japanese. They have a simple English menu but it should definitely do the trick for most. Even if you don’t know Japanese, you will be fine with just a little Google translate.
Will definitely revisit when I’m in...
Read moreThe building is pretty average but this place had the look and feel of a more upscale establishment. Very comfortable seating and visually attractive decor. There was no wait, the staff were friendly and attentive and there was no wait to be seated. All of the food came at a reasonable speed. It was a Monday but there was a very boisterous, almost party-like feel to it. Fukuoka vibe? I don't know but it was pleasantly noisy. All of the food tasted very good, from the motsunabe to the mentai appetizers to the salad and edamame. I highly recommend this restaurant. We were stuffed and it cost about 40 percent less than in the Kanto area by...
Read moreMiso broth is rich, maybe salty for some but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The motsu was very clean and delicious - had great texture and flavour pairing well with the broth. Veggies were good too - nice and fresh. Finished it with some rice for zousui. Other shime options were champon noodles or udon. Gave off fancier vibes than other spots but the service was great so that’s priced in along with the...
