The experience of mine staying in this hotel is truely awful.
I stayed in this place for two nights and the first night i couldnt sleep at all as the air conditioner was malfunctioned. The temperature setting is either HOT or bloody cold and the fan was always running at its full speed.
When we firstly called the front desk at 1am, the only operation done was replacing the filter(and god knows how long since they change it the last time, the dust was everywhere when its been tear down).
Ok, we tolerated the next 30 mins until I called the front desk again, as there was still weird sound(like water dripping and something scratching the tube) coming out from the air conditioner which we TURNED OFF ALREADY as it made no improvement after the filter been changed.
Second call been made and its nearly 2am already, the front desk had no solution so he managed to find us another room(later on I figured out why is this room the only vacancy), the air-con was working properly, so we called it a day.
The next morning, I woke up in a freezing chill as the air-con turned off automatically. Fine by me as there was still a full day schedule ahead and I really didn't want to waste another minute using Google translation to communicate with the staff here who barely speak English.
Now I AM suffering in my second night here because I just found out the room they re-arranged for me is right next to the laundry room and you'll never know who will be using the washing machine and dryer at 1am, and now I know, two teenagers.
Finger crossed that I can get some rest before I hop on the plane tomorrow morning and NO ONE will do any more laundry after I publish this review. The humming from the dryer is my lullaby for tonight.
The location of this hotel is good but if you have a slightly better budget, you definitely have better choice around this area.
My personal opinion is that Wings hotel will never be my choice for the rest of my life.
By the way, there are approximately 10 rooms each floor with total 8 floors, there is only one elevator available for all the people staying here. Be prepared for the long waiting time during the rush hours, I literary finished a full article before the door opened...
Read moreWe stayed here from October 13–15, 2025, and couldn’t have picked a more convenient base in Fukuoka. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Hakata Station, along Chikushiguchi Central Street, so it’s really easy to find — just a straight walk from the station exit.
We chose this hotel mainly for its proximity to Hakata Station and the abundance of restaurants and convenience stores nearby — and it didn’t disappoint. There’s a FamilyMart right across the street, a Seattle’s Best Coffee next door for your morning caffeine fix, and even a Lawson just a block away. Location-wise, it’s simply perfect for both short and extended stays.
Check-in was quick and hassle-free. The receptionist who assisted us was incredibly friendly and helpful, and she even helped us arrange luggage forwarding to our next accommodation in Ueno, Tokyo (which cost around ¥6,700). The process was seamless — exactly the kind of service that makes traveling in Japan so stress-free.
Our room was compact, as expected from a typical Japanese business hotel, but it had everything we needed. The bed, pillows, and linens were clean and comfortable, with no odd smells or signs of wear. The bathroom was small but spotless, which is pretty standard in Japan.
A light breakfast was included in our stay — mainly a selection of bread with coffee, juice, and water available. Simple, but a nice touch before heading out for the day.
Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Hotel Wing International Hakata Shinkansenguchi. The excellent location, friendly staff, and clean rooms made it a great value for money. We’d happily stay here again the next time...
Read moreDuring our time at Hotel Wings, we had a decent stay, mainly because of its convenient location near the main shinkansen station, making it very central for our travels.
However, we found the rooms to be less than satisfactory. They were tiny and felt a bit crammed, which made our stay less comfortable than we had hoped. While the level of cleanliness was acceptable, it wasn't exceptional, and it's worth noting that the rooms are not cleaned daily, but only for longer stays.
One of the major downsides for us was the beds. They were quite hard and uncomfortable, and the same goes for the pillows, which made it challenging to get a good night's sleep.
On a positive note, the coin laundry facility was useful, though a bit limited with only two washers and dryers available. The washing process took around 40 minutes, and drying could be time-consuming, ranging from 60 to 90 minutes depending on the load.
To sum up, I would rate Hotel Wings as an average choice. Its central location and easy accessibility to the main shinkansen station were definite advantages. However, the small, cramped rooms, lack of daily room cleaning, and uncomfortable beds were drawbacks that impacted our overall experience. With some improvements in these areas, the hotel could easily become a more desirable option...
