Hoshino Coffee Canal City Hakata Shop — Restaurant in Fukuoka

First time we tried Hoshino Coffee and foods was not in Japan. Experience wasn't that good. But today, visiting Fukuoka Canal City Hakata. This Hoshino Cafe restaurant truly earn my stars back.

Hoshino Coffee interior design always giving great home atmosphere with relax and great flavours. We loved their coffee and even try their real fruit tea due to real hot humid weather, it was satisfying too.

We particularly loved their foods, porkchop sandwiches was flavourful and well cooked fresh porkchop. Another great surprise was their Napoleon tomato based sausage pasta. It was delicious and full of flavours. Very well cooked pasta and balanced in taste.

Lastly, their Souffle dessert was amazing, one of a kind, different from what you taste outside Japan. For such amazing Japanese dessert, satisfaction only when you taste it in Japan.

Firstly, the baked soufflé with anglaise sauce was tasty, warm and freshly made.

The pancake with maple syrup was also very good. Both needed about 20 minutes, and went well with the Hoshino coffee.

Staff need training though. Their system of letting customers in is chaotic. We were asked to enter by a male staff who wanted to lead us to a table, but were immediately stopped by his female supervisor who insisted that we fill the sheet with out name (already done before we stepped in) and then asked us to wait on the seats.

As I was literally eating my last spoonful of soufflé, a staff was waiting to whisk away my plate! Really! Felt like...

A older waitress there took our order, and obviously didn’t seem to like foreigners. Couldn’t accommodate toast on the side, and she whisked off while we were in the middle of making our orders, and said it supposedly took 50 minutes to create the “Fuwa-Fuwa” fluffy soufflé.

However, 20-25 minutes into opening the establishment, I could see another table receiving the same dish already. Very lackluster and a “cannot do” kind...
