Amazing little craft sake brewery which featured in the 2022 Luxembourg Sake Challenge with their Mint Craft Sake and won Bronze (unfortunately not available when we visited).
We tried two flights - cacao, verbena, blood orange, amanatsu (summer bitter orange), ginger and strawberry. They're all unfiltered, on the lightly fizzy side, fruity and refreshing. The head barman/Sake master was very nice, offered us a menu in English and was very welcoming. The menu features their range of unfiltered craft sakes as well as some "guest" brews, one from a women led cooperative, an "academic" institution and another famous brewery. All craft and really unique in their own ways.
Each shot glass came accompanied with a little square piece of paper with the fruit/herb name and illustration. There is also a snack menu for those looking to nibble on something while enjoying the sake.
Adjacent to the bar is the actual brewery so you can watch the toji working his magic and we got to see him actually bottling a batch of verbena sake.
Really authentic experience. Definitely a place...
Read moreWe were in Fukuoka for a few days and we stopped there on our last night. No regrets ! it was a fun experience, as we're not used to drink sake 🍶. We really enjoyed the sake we tasted, the one they make are really tasteful and surprising, and we bought a full bottle of our favorite at the end to bring home with us :) The staff was super nice, we would have talked more with them if we could.. The bar is kind of intimate and you can see the workshop behind the windows, it's a cool vibe. We didn't have the chance to taste the food but we saw the chef preparing the dishes for other customers and it looked super delicious 😋. We would recommend coming here...
Read moreVery tasty! Was in town with two others who like breweries, and we decided to check this place out. We had flights of sake (all flavored) and then tried other local sake and beer as well. Super tasty! And I ordered the croquette - delicious! It was made with sake lees, super cool :) The staff was extremely friendly, and we chatted for a while (with the help of google translate). Also met the brewer for a bit! They put a lot of thought into the atmosphere, it was a fun vibe with good drinks and snacks....
