Ropponmatsu is definitely an area you have to visit if you are in Fukuoka. You’ll see hidden gems like this restaurant.

The owners are exceptionally kind and friendly. We don’t speak Japanese but they tried hard to communicate with us through Google Translate. I told them we don’t eat pork, and they kindly replaced the bacon in our sandwich with egg. 🥹

The sandwich was amazing really, everything complements each other. Price was not expensive at all and portion was generous for us to share. Even the tomato was surprisingly sweet.

The toasts were amazing too. The bread is thick, soft, and lightly toasted. The jams are clearly home made.

The ginger drink was really nice too and the syrup is also home made.

I’ll give the typical Asian high praise: not too sweet. They’re not too rich, and we didn’t get sick from eating it. The food was really...

We had a delicious coffee, toast and soup. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, it seems a family business, it also has excellent location, it's just 3 min walking distance from OhoriKoen, bus stop and main Ropponmatsu stop. This place is surrounded by other local cafes, shops and nice local community. We also got a delicious cinnamon roll! I can recommended this place if you go to Ohorikoen or visit this local and vibrant...
