Tokin — Restaurant in Fukuoka

I absolutely loved this place. Stumbled across it whilst looking for another restaurant and boy did it exceed expectations. The menu is in Japanese but there is a QR code you can scan which allows you to order on your phone which makes things easier with photos and an English translation of the item. You do get charged a appetiser fee which includes a delicious fried chicken wing with a skewer of cabbage. Overall the food was delicious, I loved how it came out on different plates and the atmosphere was there- it was clean and felt up market. Unfortunately there was smoking allowed. It is good to be able to mix it up with locals and have drinks which added to the atmosphere. Would recommend the chicken skin skewers- super juicy and full of flavours. But honestly everything was good and freshly grilled...

It’s so delicious! Yakitori is always the best food in japan for me when travelling. Chicken and beef tongue are fantastic too! Last but not least, please order chicken liver paste with bread!!!! That one is really yum!!

Remarks: customers can smoke inside so may not be very friendly...

Pleasantly surprised! We were looking for a quick midnight drinks & snack near our hotel and found this gem. They have QR menus so it was foreigner friendly. All the menus we had were good but Kanpachi was especially delicious!! Otoshi was also hearty...
