I couldn't have asked for a better location for a hotel in Fukuoka. This hotel is right in the middle of the busiest area of Fukuoka, and is surrounded by great restaurants and malls. Train and bus stations are conveniently just a few minutes' walk away. Shopping in great when you stay here, because it is close enough to huge malls and big tax-free stores (Don Quixote, Bic Camera, Matsumoto Kiyoshi), that you can drop off your things easily at the hotel before heading out to shop for more stuff.||||The room itself wasn't completely clean. The ledge against the bed had a fairly thick layer of dust, which was never cleaned during our entire 8-day stay (even though we requested for room make up everyday), and the bathroom had a funky smell. The fridge was set to a low temp (which we couldn't adjust), so some of the food we kept in there went bad.||||Complete toiletries are provided, which is great, and they refill everything in a timely manner. They I was surprised that they didn't provide drinking water though.||||On our last day, we needed 2 taxis to bring us and our bags (which doubled in number during the duration of our stay) to the airport, and the front desk staff was useless. They called one taxi service and when they didn't have any vehicles available to take us to the airport, they just left us to fend for ourselves with our huge bags. We ended up hailing taxis right outside the front door, but none of the staff even offered to assist us with carrying the bags outside, or even load them in the taxi.||||Overall, the experience was fine, but if I ever find myself back in Fukuoka, I will definitely check out other...
Read moreThe room is with descent size but definitely no good sound-proofing walls and not high-tech, I’ll say facilities are rather old (not smart TV and small size) but simple and sufficient. Bedding quality is acceptable, I asked for more pillows as those provided are not supportive enough. Be reminded that 1) no bottle of water available in the room, you must buy it from convenient store, supermarket or their vending machine at 2nd floor; 2) only 1 laundry machine available so highly possible you would queue for long time if you must use it; 3) microwave is available if needed. Apart from aforesaid, selection of amenities provided at the lobby are very thoughtful and quality choices.
Service is not too bad if you reach out to them directly for amenities, 70% of the staffs are helpful enough and polite, especially room cleaning which is quite thorough and efficient in general. However, they would refuse to help if you need to book/cancel tables at restaurants.
Excellent location with tube, train and bus station nearby, walking distance to Tenjin and Daimyo where surrounded by countless fashion stores, izakaya, bars and...
Read moreI booked a non-smoking room, but surprisingly the room still has a bit cigarette smell probably due to air ventilation/circulation within the hotel. The lobby is filled with strong cigarette smell as there is a coffee shop (smoking is permitted) next to it. The bed was a bit soft for me, got a backache after 1 night stay. The hotel location is close to the Tenjin Minami (Tenjin south). It’s about 7min walk underground from Tenjin Minami to Tenjin station which is the main station/line to go to Hakada and Fukuoka airport. 7 min with a luggage can be a long walk especially when it’s very crowded with people. The good thing is that I don’t have to worry about rain or snow due to the underground walkway. Restaurants around the hotel are pretty good with quality and price, that’s where the local go. Restaurants in the department stores are definitely...
