I had the pleasure of dining at Narikoma, a Japanese restaurant located in Fukuyama. Upon arriving, we were directed to a private room with beautiful decorations, which added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
The server was kind and helpful, and one of them spoke some English, which was a great help when ordering. They provided us with some recommendations, which we found very helpful.
To start, we ordered some fried road shrimp 🍤 and assorted tempura, which were amazingly tasty and crisp. In fact, we enjoyed them so much that we ended up re-ordering them! We also tried the assorted sashimi platter 🍣, which was also amazing. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced.
One of the highlights of our meal was the uni sashimi. The texture was incredibly buttery and smooth, and the taste was out of this world.
We also tried the baked and fried tempura eel, and both were great. The eel was cooked perfectly, and the tempura batter was light and crispy.
Overall, we were very impressed with the quality of the food at Narikoma. Each dish was greatly cared for and delicious, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Read more写真は[鯛そうめん]。福山市の日本で一番癒される港・鞆の浦を散歩した後、夕食に寄りました。昭和の浪漫を感じさせる入口と内装。カウンター内でベテランの大将が腕を振います。 初めて体験したこのお料理は、タレかけ素麺の上に焼き鯛が丸ごと一匹乗っかって登場。[うゎ〜]と驚いていると中居さんが手際よく焼き鯛の身をほぐし、上手に背骨を外して頭と分離。次に反対側も同じようにほぐして、小皿に鯛の身、素麺、錦糸、椎茸の煮付け、絹さやと盛り付けて出来上がり。 早速、いただきます先ずは椎茸から。濃いめのあじつけが鯛を味わう前の下準備をしてくれます。続けて焼き鯛の身をいただきます。 瀬戸内海の海流が満潮時に東西から流れ込み中央に位置する鞆の浦沖でぶつかり、逆に干潮時には鞆の浦沖から東西に分かれて流れ出していきます。つまり鞆の浦沖を境にして潮の流れが逆転します。当時の船は、風と人の力で進んでいました。なのでこの逆転する潮流を利用して船は東西それぞれの方向に潮流に乗って進んでゆきます。この逆転が始まるまで待機している船を[潮待ち]と呼んでいました。 この独特な海流で育った鯛は、焼き鯛にしても硬くならず柔らかさを保った優しい食感で[なるほど、柔らかな蒲鉾の様な…こんな食感は初めてだわ]と感じつつ錦糸と椎茸を頬張ります。[旨い!]この一語に尽きる。絹さやで箸休めをした後、再び焼き鯛・素麺・錦糸・椎茸を少しずつ寄せていただきます。やはり[旨い!]。今日一日を得した気分になり、日本で一番癒される港・鞆の浦と地元の美味しいお料理[鯛そうめん]...
