Food here is honestly the best - we have been traveling through Japan for the past 2 weeks and this is one of our final destinations here. Needless to say, we have had our fair share of Michelin level food to chain restaurants food through our travels. But for us, this completely triumphs the food we have had.

That cheese burrata was so good it melted in our mouth. It was sweet and salty together without being overpowering

The salt grilled chicken. How do you keep so much moistness and tenderness in the chicken after grilling it?!?! It was like the chicken went swimming whilst it was cooked but the skin was so crispy so that was truly magical

The cucumber - didn’t know cucumber with beans could taste so good. Honestly, it’s surprising this restaurant is starred on those TripAdvisor or Michelin guide books. Maybe lucky for us then since there was no queue when we visited...

The best food we've had on our trip to Japan.

The grilled salted chicken is a MUST try - a Gotemba specialty. The skin is so crispy thin, while the meat is so juicy and succulent.

The chef pays deep attention to everything he cooks, it's thrilling to watch him in action.

Although the staff does not speak English, they are still very accommodating to us. They made it very fun for us to explore and find out more about the menu and what to order.

The mentaimochi was very interesting - a toasted mochi with mentai roe inside.

The pork (buta) stew was delicious, with the meat being juicy and soft.

Highly recommend that you take a detour, come to Gotemba, and try...

Worst experience in Japan. They refused to offer us a table for a dinner even they got a few tables unattended. Same experience in a few more restaurants at the same street. This is a street where Asian may not be welcomed. Do so so anti-Japan, you guys always friendly in the past (even...

The food was out of this world. It's hard to order of you don't speak any Japanese, but there were some other friendly guests who helped and shared some sake with me :) the cook just kept on bringing food until I said I was full. Even though I was "gaijin" there, I felt very welcomed. 10/10
