We wanted to experience the hot springs whilst in Hakone & so booked 1 hour here. Really lovely location, looking out over woods & a very tranquil & calming experience. We booked a type 3 private spa for the 3 of us & they provide you with towels & traditional Japanese robes. Each private spa comes with a small living room & washroom. You get in naked & not allowed in if you have tattoos. I think because of the time of year it wasn't as relaxing as it could of been. The air temperature was about 35°C & the water was 40°C so I'd recommend going when it's cooler to get the benefits of the hot spring water. We felt hot & couldn't stay in for more than about 10 minutes. When we've done similar things in Oxford & Iceland it's been cooler out & the water has been cooler. Worth doing but perhaps not...
Read moreReally lovely experience. We had booked in for a private onsen experience and saw that they had a restaurant. We hadn't booked a table but there was lots of room when we arrived (around 3pm) It was a really unique and lovely experience.
I queried regarding the broth to see if it was suitable for a pescatarian diet, the member of staff asked the chef to double check which was really appreciated.
It was easy to order and there were lots of choices.
My husband tried the sausages which he liked and he also enjoyed his Donburi.

Read moreRead a review that there's muslim halal menu in this restaurant. (Only restaurant in Hakone offering this) but i was greatly disappointed. Came at after 12 noon which is a common timing for lunch only to be told tat the halal menu wasn't ready. Had to settle with a miserable dish (with a charcoal pot / for BBQ) which only had 1 shiitake mushroom, a small piece of fish, a piece of green chilli and a small piece of tofu. And it cost about SGD$20!
Perhaps Muslims looking for halal food here shld drop them a call first to check. Credit cards are...
