We were staying in the neighborhood and trying to find dinner before all the local restaurants closed (around 1600). This had just closed and we were debating where to go when the owner kindly invited us in. While immediately grateful for staying open for us, that feeling quickly turned to satisfaction when we tried the delicious food. We had a fried chicken set, tonkatsu set and tonkatsu curry. We didn’t want to eat at the tourist centre because those places are usually pretty mediocre. We picked a different place in town but it was closed, so we kept walking.

Ended up here and I’m so happy we did! Lovely lady running the place was very warm and polite. The restaurant looks right out over the lake and the view is so peaceful. They have an English version of the menu which was very convenient. We had cold beers and delicious curry rice. Highly recommend.

One of the best meals I had in Japan. Food is delicious. I had the pork cutlet curry and was amazing + another pork cutlet as side dish because it looked delicious in the menu, the best curry i had in Japan and the pork was perfectly done juicy and tender. My wife got curry ramen and she said it was the same, delicious for her. The people who run the restaurant are very friendly towards everyone (foreigner or not), attentive, kind and caring to their customers.
