ガスト 白馬店 — Restaurant in Hakuba

Western style family restaurant with lots of parking. It was one of the few places open after 9pm and was accepting customers. There was a slight line up due to high season but we waited no more than 15 mins for a group of 6 split between 2 tables. You order through a display on the table and robot waiters will deliver you food. The food was hot, tasty and cheap. No complaints there. I ordered the baked saffron rice with seafood in a cheesy sauce. It came out exactly like the display picture and tasted great. Good place to visit if you have a kid. Clean and with ample space. They have deployed a robot waiter to deliver food from kitchen to customer table. The food can be ordered on a tablet. Minimal staff, just to receive customer, clean up the tables, payment at reception and for any questions.

The various variety of chicken side dishes were really tasty. The drink bar is good, though don’t expect much from it. Typical gusto affair as such.

Ample parking space here. And it’s open late hours. A reliable place to go in the small Hakuba town where places can close pretty early in evening.

Gusto is great. You order your meals on a tablet so you don't have to talk to people to get things done (tablets have English language, staff are a button press away if you do need one).

When your food is ready, it comes to your table via smart robot, which knows if there is food remaining on one of its tiers and will only leave when empty. No button presses required!
