The food was very good – definitely a great choice on the island. The restaurant seems to be run by a local family, which gives it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Since we were a group of four, we couldn’t sit together at first, but before our meal was served, the lady kindly rearranged the seating so we could enjoy it as a group.
The “extra spicy” pasta wasn’t really worth the additional charge, as I couldn’t feel much difference compared to the regular one. However, they do offer a nice spicy sauce on the side – although, like in many places here, the spice level is quite mild. Personally, I enjoyed it most when mixed with mayonnaise as a topping.

To deal with that sadness we decided to have some Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. We chose the first spot that had it. It is quite a small place and the menu is very simple. The food arrived quickly and was AMAZING. One of the best dishes I had in Japan. The ladies working there were also very kind and funny, as they tried to show some people from the group how to use the chopsticks properly. This is the first time I saw that.
