If I could, I will come here every day for breakfast. This timeless cafe has a quiet calming atmosphere that puts you at ease. The food is absolutely to die for and the coffee is well made. The owner may be alone but you can tell he put in a lot of effort to prepare the most important meal of the day. Thank you for such a wonderful start to my day in Hikone!

Ps: His cafe was even featured in a book about coffee shops and he gave me free...

A lovely place for breakfast. The breakfast sets are good value but perhaps there was some miscommunication as the staff member that served us just charged us for the items separately (instead of the discount offered when you get a food and drink item together). Great early breakfast spot with a very affordable breakfast menu. Man who runs the place has a great vibe.

Didn't get exactly what we were trying to order, but I'd blame our terrible Japanese for that more than the owner. He really tried, and, for the price, I can't be mad. Just happy to get some coffee, bacon,...

【2024.10.31 訪問】 こんきくらぶ10月に掲載されていて 気になっていた純喫茶店へ初訪問。 平日8時過ぎの訪問で、 すでに先客5人ほどおられました。 コーヒーはサイフォン式で抽出。 見てるだけでワクワクします。 モーニングメニューは3つあり、 トースト、クロワッサン、ロールパンから 選ぶ感じですね。 そして、お店があるのは彦根市なのに、 なぜか姫路市ご当地メニューの アーモンドトーストがあり、 オススメされたので、 迷うことなく注文してみました(笑) オーナーさん1人ですが、 手際よく対応しておられて、 そんなに待ち時間なく 注文から10分ほどで届きました。 キッチンの両脇にカウンター席と テーブル席がある間取りで、 珍しいなぁと思いました。 それも、1人でもスムーズに対応できる 大きなポイントなのかもしれませんね。 次の予定も押していたので、 ササッと食べてたら、 ひと段落したオーナーさんが 気さくに話しかけて下さいました。 店内は、昭和レトロ感満載で、 のんびりまったりと過ごしたい空間。 次回は、時間のある時に、 ゆっくりと訪問したいです。 創業当初から人気を誇るワッフルも 美味しいですよ～と。 次回訪問時のお楽しみとします。 お支払いは、現金、PayPay。 駐車場は、1年ほど前までは、 道向かいにあったそうですが、 現時点では、店舗専用駐車場ないとのこと。 店舗横(写真17・18枚目)か、 近隣にあるコインパーキングへ 駐車しましょう。 彦根城周辺散策時の 立ち寄り店として利用すると、 駐車料金も気にならないかもしれませんね。
