I want to give this place a good review as I really liked the risotto, but I cannot because 24 hours after eating it, I developed food poisoning, throwing up like crazy and it ruined the second leg of my trip in Japan. It’s an absolute disaster, do not go. I tried to give the raw oyster the benefit of the doubt, since I also had other food afterwards, but honestly my partner was fine, and the only thing we had different are the 3 raw oyster at Mabui. I’ve read many good reviews on this place. But I think they are for other locations, this place does not deserve the reputation associated with its name and should be shut down for food safety inspection. Fresh and delicious oysters - English menu available, but the lunch course is not on the English menu so take a look at the Japanese menu if interested. At the time I visited, lunch course included soft drink, appetizer sampler with salad, oyster sampler (raw, fried, and steamed) and pasta of the day. Fried oyster was amazing! The pasta of the day was the oyster and caper olive oil and it had a bit of a spicy kick but so delicious. Good size portion and generous oysters. I wanted to like this place more than I did. It was not crowded but the food was incredibly slow. The raw oysters were lovely! But the cooked oyster dishes left a lot to be desired. There was no table charge, so that was nice. I got 4 dishes and it ended up being ¥5100, more than I expected or thought it was worth.
