This is a standard Japanese hotel, slightly dated in decor but functional. The rooms are smallish. You might want to upgrade to superior double which would get you 17 square meters. The bathroom has a separate shower area from the toilet /sink. However, only one person can use the area since the shower stall door is a clear window.||The hotel has a nice amenities bar : shampoo, conditioner, face masks, salts, toothbrush etc. There is free coffee and tea in the lobby. Check in is 2 pm which is a bit earlier than many hotels. If you purchase your room with breakfast there is an extensive selection. We loved the automated rice dispenser which ‘plops’ out the volume of rice you choose : bite size, small, medium etc. ||The staff at reception and at breakfast were friendly and helpful.||My only complaints are that the room fridge is quite old and doesn’t get quite cold. So, get ice from the fourth floor. The room carpets need a good vacuum in the corners and water bottles would be nice for guests. We have had these in our other hotels in Japan. A decent stay but in a very busy area. Staying in higher floors keeps you far from the night noise.||It’s about a 15 min walk to the peace memorial park and a 6 min tram ride to Hiroshima station at Hatchobori station. Also from this tram you can take it to the ferry to Miyajima Island.||This hotel is doable for two...

Very pleased & surprised by this hotel, it was booked by my travel agent when I arrived on foot from Hiroshima station, I thought I must be at the wrong place it looked to fancy, but it really was the right place.
Very friendly counter staff who great you at check-in with a hot towel hand wash
I was given a ‘Coffee card’ that you can use in the lobby any time for a free machine Coffee, this saves you some Japanese yen on your holiday.
Very clean room (semi-double room level 12)
Coin laundry on level 4 (IMO better than hotels that only have the service you pay them to wash for you)
Nice clean breakfast area
Overall a very trendy hotel, I had a smile each time I walked around it was the best so far on a three week trip around Japan.
Great location for what I needed to do around this area, lots of things you can do on foot or a short tram ride away.
Free wifi did slow down at times to the point it was better to use my mobile hotspot
I’d recommend this, the Google maps & website did not give me as good impression as in real life this was a great place to spend a few nights, something about the 'vibe' really...
Read moreFairly spacious rooms with excellent bathroom setup, great location, fantastic buffet breakfast and really impressive level of service from staff.
The hotel was very clean and well set up. Staff were helpful and spoke English well - they explained how to use the streetcars that ran from a stop nearby.
We stayed in a double room, and it was one of the few double rooms in a hotel that had enough room to spread out with two bags in the mix. The bathroom had a toilet and sink with a separate wet room containing a bath and a separate shower with an adjustable rail. The bath was big and clean and very relaxing. Very impressive setup!
The buffet breakfasts had a really good mix of Japanese and Western breakfast items. Cereal and fruit bar with a good selection of pastries. Nice to be able to try the okonomiyaki. The fish options and other Japanese breakfast items were also great. Lovely lemony french toast and bread and butter pudding as well as eggs and bacon. Staff were attentive, extremely polite and professional.
Excellent - would definitely...
