After a long day exploring Hiroshima, we dropped by Hakata Ippudo for dinner and walked away full and satisfied. This branch of the famous ramen chain lives up to its name with consistently delicious offerings and efficient service.
We had their classic Shiromaru ramen—the tonkotsu broth was rich and creamy, while the noodles were perfectly al dente. The gyoza was crisp and juicy, just the way we liked it. A surprise standout? The fried rice! It was flavorful, fragrant, and well-executed—definitely worth ordering alongside the ramen.
Despite a bit of a dinner crowd, service was quick and smooth thanks to the digital ordering system, and staff were polite and helpful. The cozy modern decor gave us a nice space to wind down, and the complimentary iced red tea was a refreshing bonus.
Overall, a comforting, well-rounded dinner experience. Whether you’re a ramen lover or just need a warm, reliable meal in Hiroshima, this Ippudo won’t...

After a prolonged and frustrating back-and-forth, we were informed that there were no vegetarian dishes available. It turns out that their broth is made from pork, making it unsuitable for vegetarians.
Given the confusion and lack of vegetarian options, we left without eating. For any vegetarians considering a visit, we strongly advise against this restaurant. It does not cater to vegetarian needs and is not worth the effort or...
Read moreCame across this really cool traditional ramen restaurant that was very foreigner friendly. Ordering off iPads was a breeze as the whole menu was also in English. They bring their own special complementary (made in-house) red iced tea which is similar to a light black tea but without the caffeine. I ordered their regular special Tonkotsu Ramen with all the extras and was delighted by the authentic taste. You can easily add more toppings as-well as even being able to choose the firmness of your noodles to your perfect likening. Lots to choose from. Also had the 10pc gyoza which were small yet freshly made and tasted so great. None of that frozen stuff ! Food and drinks came surprisingly fast and very fresh. Would definitely recommend if your in town looking for a local...
