I had been to a Gusto Cafe in the north of Japan 25 years ago but I couldn't remember much about it other than it was a "family" restaurant. The one we visited in Hiroshima felt kinda like a Swiss Chalet back in Canada... but with a concentration on beef instead of chicken and Japanese variations of comfort food.
We ordered our meal via a tablet on the table. The plates were delivered by a robot server. The alcoholic drinks were delivered by a human server. :)
The food was tasty but not particularly remarkable. I ordered a steak patty with grated yam and green onions. My one son ordered chicken nuggets/chunks which were pretty good, They were actual chunks of fried chicken, not the particle board style chicken of a McDonalds.
