Omg. Found this place by chance when walking around and ordered the Croque Madame Plate (クロックマダムプレート) and honestly, i cannot recommend it enough, it was the best sandwich I have ever eaten in my life and I eat a lot of sandwiches. It was a fork and knife sort of sandwich but divine in its balance of flavor. The salty prosciutto was in total harmony with the crispy bread, gooey egg, and the subtle tang of cheese. The restaurant itself has a cool, classy atmosphere (it’s good for a date, maybe not with the kids) and the food was served in an appropriate amount of time. The next day, my boyfriend and I went back for “breakfast” (11am) and both got the Croque Madame Plates again! It was a good deal, 980¥ which included a super refreshing and savory salad and a beverage! (This was during the lunch time hours so I don’t know how their dinner prices compare.) We got seated at the bar and at first I wasn’t sure if I liked it, but then we got to talk to the cooks and see what they were doing! It was amazing. And the food, amazing. I got the Roasted Chicken with truffle cream sauce and it melted in my mouth. My friend got the pasta with meat sauce and lots of cheese and it was full flavor. Their Fuzzy Navel drink was also one of the best I’ve had while in Japan. Perfect for a date night or a...
Read moreThis place is great! If you're gluten free, don't let this beer-focused restaurant throw you off. The waitstaff was super helpful when we told them we wanted to order gluten free items off the menu. The kitchen is in the center of the restaurant, so it was a short jaunt to double-check with the chef about certain items.
Also the food was great! We ordered the roasted chicken, charcuterie plate, chicken liver brûlée (small serving size, but soooo good), as well as some great drinks (all GF). Those of us who could have gluten even went back the next day for a sandwich for the train ride home. Pate...
