Apparently, the unexpected and extremely surprising +500yen extra charge per person is a common thing of the "Japanese Culture" (I'm quoting the manager who told us that without trying to explain us what this extra was about). We were not warned about this extra charge and I still don't understand the reason of charge (nomihoudai 1500yen and you have to order two dishes, we did but ???) maybe it was the small side dish we were given before our dishes and we thought it was free but no! So I don't advise anyone to come here, especially if your Japanese is not good and you run into problem with the bill... not our first nomihoudai and we were extremely unpleased to experience such bad business etiquette in...

It is exactly what you would expect from a restaurant from the Watami chain. In that way this is as reliable as it gets. The service is good and fast, the staff is friendly, they speak English if necessary. The regular menu is available in a condensed English version, too. The food is decent and tasty, and you can pretty much rely on what you get if you have ever been to another store of the chain.
