Sushi naka — Restaurant in Hiroshima

My husband and I went there for dinner and we had a really excellent evening. The sushi was amazing and it felt like a very authentic restaurant. There is no English menu or English speaking staff, but it’s easy to order as you choose from a couple of different set menus. We ate a sashimi course, followed by ~10 pieces of sushi with some nice sake based on the recommendation of a very nice Japanese customer who was also there. The restaurant is very intimate, but we got walk-in seats (at the counter, in front of the chef). The chef and the staff were so welcoming and made the effort of explaining each course to us and how best to eat it, even with the language barrier. We would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for an authentic and delicious sushi experience...

Absolutely one of the best Omakase style Sushi restaurants I have been to in Japan. Very small place with very limited seating and no English menu or sign out front. We found it using google maps and wanted something close to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Be aware they don't speak English and do not have an English menu. We don't speak Japanese but through google translate and some charades, we were able to somewhat communicate. It is a very small place with a husband and wife situation. It is very friendly and has amazing quality food and service. The price is more than right. Two meals with 11 pieces of sushi, beer, miso soup, and a couple of side dishes totaled roughly $85 usd. No doubt I will return here next visit...

Horrible staff. My husband wanted to eat some sushi so we chose Sushi Naka for its great reviews. We came in, we sat in a nice cozy room and my husband ordered a plate of sushi with 13 pieces ( about 6000 yes)and a beer, unfortunately I couldn't eat sushi because I am pregnant. The owner came to tell us that we had to leave the restaurant as we needed to order at least one dish per person ( this wasn't written anywhere). She was extremely rude as opposed to Japanese culture. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. Fortunately we ended it up in a very authentic sushi place where we were very welcomed and my husband had an amazing sushi. See the details...
