Zingaro — Restaurant in Kagoshima

Not super impressed, staff not dressed in any uniform. Most were wearing Street wear. Had to ask for serviettes and oshibori. No buzzer on table we were seated at. Had to grab one from another table. Ordered the mussels. Think was microwaved as shell freezing cold and uneven heat. Tried ordering 2 other pizzas only to be told not available. Settled on 1 they did have available. Was nice but not great. For such an amazing fitout the staff and food was a big let down. Superbly designed and decorated establishment, very similar to Pina which leads me to think these restaurants are linked.

The staff serving the tables were very courteous and attentive.

We ordered two vegan pizzas, the Marinara being the staple choice.

It was a pretty good attempt at an authentic Italian style thin crust pizza but was a bit chewy and the dough wasn't very well leavened and didn't crunch much.

3/5 for the pizza, 5/5 for the decor...
