The food is bad. End of the story. Prices are a little high, but that's what you get in Kamakura. The place itself is quite nice, with a wooden interior and a small terrace, even if it's right next to the road, it is a bit elevated. The owner seems to be fan of baseball, therefore there are shirts and caps for decoration and for sale. The service is quick, too quick. And the advertised "Kamakura sausages" are actually almost inedible super low grade industrial pieces of dirt. The bread coming with the overpriced hot-dog is plain disappointing, and cheap mustard and ketchup are automatically added, without your opinion. For a 1000 yen hot-dog, it is simply unacceptable. The interior is peaceful and decorated tastefully with baseball memorabilia—the owner is kind and is also clearly a baseball fan. There is also a patio where you can relax and enjoy the aspects of the bamboo on the opposite side of the road.
The coffee is very nicely made and neither too sour nor too bitter. In the summer it’s pleasant to have an ice coffee here. I think the owner clearly has a good sense of a coffee that is suited to anyone’s tastes.
The snacks differ from time to time and appear to be made at home. They were always tasty.
Overall, if you’re in the area or walking down the road to Kenchoji and in need of some coffee, I cannot recommend this place...
