One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to so far. Mysterious yet ever so peaceful. The moment you see the entrance, you feel like you’re transported to an Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider film set. Loads of other areas to explore apart from the main shrine. There is a tunnel that you need to crawl through to get to the other side of the shrine area, might be creep for some as there’s a cemetery but just be respectful and all is good. Amazing amazing shrine!

Jochi-ji temple in Kamakura is a serene retreat nestled in the hills. Its tranquil surroundings and well-preserved structures offer a glimpse into the Zen Buddhist tradition. The main hall's exquisite architecture and the lush moss garden provide a soothing atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for meditation and contemplation.

One of the Seven Gods to get a special GoShuin. It is a beautiful and very peaceful temple to visit and explore. There are many benches to just sit and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. I highly recommend that if you’re in the Kita-Kamakura area, that you visit there.

Jochiji temple was built 1281 upon the death of Munemasa Hojo, the third son of Hojo Tokiyori who was the fifth regent of Kamakura government. Its construction work was advised by Chinese monks, thus the Bell Gate and the Main Building feature Song architectural style.

Start of the Daibutsu hiking course. I really liked this little temple, and thought it was worth the 200 yen (cash only) to enter. It’s quiet and peaceful with some nice bamboo. Can see it all slowly in 10-15 minutes.

One of the five Kamakura mountains. You can walk from Kita-Kamakura Station. Admission fee: 200 yen. This is a temple that enshrines Hotei-sama. The ginkgo tree at the entrance was beautiful. There aren't many people, so you can enjoy the view in peace. There is a well at the back of the site and a side cave, so it retains an old-fashioned feel. There were various plants such as ginkgo biloba, autumn leaves, camellias, and a bamboo forest, and the colors were lively.
