My partner and I were looking for a place to have dinner after visiting Kamakura. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews and couldn’t be happier: it was the best meal we had in Japan. The place only has six seats, but that evening it was just the two of us, so we were able to enjoy the full attention of the owners—kind, smiling, and talkative—who carefully explained each dish and chatted with us throughout the entire dinner. The sashimi was delicious, the tempura incredibly delicate, all paired with two kinds of excellent sake. A real wonder—we’ll never forget it. Best sardine ever! Warm and welcoming atmosphere with fresh local seafood food presented beautifully. There are only six seats. We don’t speak Japanese but still had a lovely chat with the owner couple. Highly recommend for authentic Japanese experience! We loved the dinner set menu with four courses recommended by chef...

Fantastic Izakaya, one of my top in 2 years of Nihonning. Ha chan is my boy and the Namero and the Nanbanzuke were legit. I hope I never go to Kamakura again without a stop at Hamazeniwashi
