Hokkaido cuisine & Seafood BBQ "Uoman" Kamakura Station — Restaurant in Kamakura

We are tourists from abroad. After ordering at this restaurant, the waiter brought us the wine and told us that there would be a service charge of 495 yen per person. I think as a restaurant, it is understandable if there is a service charge. But AFTER ordering, and even after seeing that the customer has already started to eat, they say that they will charge a service fee. Can be said to be a fraud!! Not recommended!! Restaurants that do things this way don't do any good. The salmon sashimi is very skinny… 648yen( not include the tax) for only 4 slices. Very disappointed to this restaurant. Terrible experience at this restaurant. The staff were rude and unwelcoming towards us as foreign tourists. They practically shoved us out the door with their dismissive body language.

After reading other reviews, it seems this poor treatment of outsiders is common practice here. What a shame - this place does not deserve Japan's reputation for hospitality.

I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant, unless you enjoy being made to feel like an unwanted nuisance. My 90-year-old grandmother was very upset by how she was treated. Save yourself the aggravation and find a more welcoming...

This underground basement restaurant is quite spacious, offering a comfortable atmosphere.
