Follow the signs for a cafe that points to a tranquil residential area. Keep walking even though you think you might've taken a wrong turn. Then, to be suddenly greeted by a house on top of a steep retaining wall with an "Open" sign. Open the door and you'll be in a renovated coffee shop, manned by the owner.

Lots of beans to choose from, and you'll be sure to enjoy your cup away...

A 5-minute walk from Kita-Kamakura Station leads to a hidden place for coffee lovers. A coffee time really matches with the slow vibe the northern part of Kamakura(Kita-Kamakura) has.

I ordered a Meigetsu Blend, whose name comes from a temple famous for its hydrangea nearby.

It has rich body with smooth and clear taste.

I highly recommend you to drop by this cafe when you have a chance to visit Kamakura...

Excellent drip coffee in quiet street not far from Meigetsu-in. Wide variety of single origin beans is available. The place only sits a small dozen, but the wooden interior feels cozy and relaxing. The homemade coffee jelly parfait on the menu is wonderful!

Drawbacks: The shop is slightly on the expensive side and the seats are not the most comfortable.
