Small boulangerie (bakery) - as per the name - but with good variety of options of sweets and savouries in Kita Kamakura that opened in October 23. Very tasty and buttery pain au chocolat (approved by my French husband who went back to the store to buy a second one), beautiful croissant which is not just empty air inside like the ones they sell in Japan (this one was stated that it is 40% butter and you can taste it; it is still flaky and croquant), and we also tried the baguette campagne. The lady who makes the breads lived 5-6 years in France (Paris and Bretagne), so she learned well!! I don't eat dairy, but there's still plenty to choose from. Their lean breads are amazing; somehow they've got the basic ingredients and the process just right to create bread that is so fragrant and delicious, it doesn't need anything else. The breads with additions, are stuffed full of them; the small fruit and nut buns were very generously filled, as were the olive buns, and I can't get enough of their apple and fruit buns, so yummy!
