Mike’s Place — Restaurant in Kamakura

Was the best american food/BBQ i’ve ever eaten in my life. The service was 10/10 the atmosphere was wonderful and the overall experience was one of the best restaurant experience i’ve had in my life. The ribs were so tender and delicious and it was just mind blowing. smashed burger was 10/10 aswell it was the best burger ive eaten, when you think of the perfect burger it’s mikes smashed burger. As for the pulled pork burgers i didn’t even know pulled pork burgers could be so good. the pork was cooked perfectly and it was tender and tasteful. I had the filly steak sandwich and it was so good and the vegetables in the sandwich paired the steak perfectly. i tried almost everything on the menu and everything i ate just kept shocking me more and more. definitely made bbq one of my favorite foods and id recommend this place to anyone. We came across this place on a quiet and rainy Saturday evening. The owners are super nice and very fun to talk to. We started off with spare ribs, and they were the best ribs we ever had, absolutely delicious, juicy and fall off the bone meat, complimented with their amazing house sauce. The brisket sandwich and smashed burger were also juicy, flavourful and just perfect.

Our recommendation would be to get the brisket plate, you will absolutely love it.

Michael story could NOT be more wrong than he is. I honestly didn't think that American food outside of America could even be nearly as good as mike's place is. I tried everything and even after that, I kept wanting more. The service was impeccable, the staff was extremely friendly and made me feel like I was a part of family. The atmosphere was also absolutely AMAZING very warm lighting and very inviting. I would come to Mike's place everyday if I could but sadly it's only flaw is that Mike's place is only open on fridays...
