Melting pot — Restaurant in Kamakura

So we wanted to explore Kamakura beach and see the Great Buddha. We stopped by this little cafe just by the sea. What a lovely little find. The shrimp gumbo (hot soup) was delicious and even better was the pretty beetroot and potato cold soup. The accompaniments were perfect, pickles etc that gave crunch and bite. Just off the main road in front of Hase beach. A spacious cafe with plenty of fresh air and sunlight makes it a relaxing space to eat and unwind. Great sandwiches packed with tuna, cheddar cheese, egg and red onion served in crispy brown whole meal store made bread. The 2 soups, peanut potage and sausage with kale were so tasty!
