The freshest seafood I’ve ever had!! And I don’t say this lightly as someone growing up in an Asian American household.

Friendly staff, calm and casual vibes, and very quick service.

My family got the poke bowl special, sashimi special, and the grilled salmon, and we were so impressed! The sashimi melted in your mouth and was so soft and tender, and we’re typically not huge sardine fans, but wanted to try the shirasu because it’s a Kamakura specialty, and it was SO delicious! You could tell they had been caught that same day. They have a house made soy sauce with chilies that I must recommend and added a nice kick to the shirasu, and they offer complimentary iced tea that has a nice earthy and toasted rice flavor to it. The miso soup was delicious and warming, and the pickled vegetables that came with the meal were crispy, tangy, and perfect. A super refreshing and nourishing meal after a day spent in Enoshima and Kamakura!

My family and I came to this place in a spur of the moment decision after seeing a crowd of locals shuffle in, and we are so glad we did. Super great location (about a 6 minute walk from Kotoku-in, 5 minute walk to the beach, 2 minute walk to the Enoshen line, and the F1 bus to Kamakura station stops right in front of the restaurant.) The restaurant’s on a lovely street that goes through the main downtown area full of cafes, restaurants and shops. As we were leaving, we had a discussion with an older Japanese woman who had been living in the neighborhood for over 30 years, and she mentioned that this was one of her favorite spots. (She also had the cutest little dog with her.) If you’re in town, I highly...

This restaurant was a spur of the moment visit after seeing the Buddha statue. First of all I must say that this is the freshest fish I've ever had. The sashimi and grilled salmon were beyond excellent. So great it was in fact ordered again for a round 2. It may sound funny to order french fries at a Japanese restaurant but trust me DO IT. It has such a unique taste that this too was in fact given a second chance to be shoveled Into our faces. Amazing quality food for a great price. The staff was very friendly and there's a menu in English. Highly recommend. If I could give it more than 5...

I loved this place! Their sashimi shirasu bowl was amazingly fresh and delicious - it was my favourite food in Kamakura! The cold tofu was nicely made too, and the Kamakura drafted beer was finely brewed and went well with seafood! The price wasn’t cheap, but still worthwhile and affordable enough for thick-sliced sashimi. I was grateful that there weren’t other tourists in the restaurant when I visited, just a few locals sitting at the bar table, so I was able to enjoy my meal fully. I highly...
