Food - As a fan of mochi I particularly enjoyed the various fruit choices. In Spring there was the choice of: Melon, pineapple, orange, strawberry and kiwi. There was an additional choice which is seen in one of my pictures but I can't remember what it was (I didn't like it).

Price - The mochi came as a "set". For example pineapple set included mochi cut into 2 slices with 2 slices of pineapple. This came with a hot matcha tea. If I remember right this cost around 1800¥. Maybe a little pricey, but if its a holiday treat then go for it!

Service - The staff were friendly, very prompt and one male member of staff spoke English.

Atmosphere - There are a fair amount of seats/tables. There is also a seated waiting area. On our second visit we needed to wait around 5-10 minutes. As you walk in you can see previews of the finished mochi. It is bright and spacious enough. There is also an upstairs section for eating. However, the stairs are very steep. So if you have difficulties with steep stairs request sitting in the ground floor.

Overall - a little pricey, but good variety of flavours. Hot and cold drinks available. Good spacious seating arrangements and English menu available. Fans of mochi will love this place.

Tip - This mochi restaurant is entered at the left side of the front entrance. It shares its entrance with another shop...

The atmosphere was indeed really nice. Despite the LOOOOONG queue, it was definitely worth it. The Daifuku and tea set is decently priced (prices can be seen on the photo of the menu I've posted).

Be sure to come early if you want to try a specific flavor. We arrived around 3pm and the kiwi, strawberry and orange flavors were all sold out. We had the chestnut and pear which were both surprisingly good too!

Definitely a must go if you will be...

Lovely space and atmosphere. Daifuku were delicious. However, it is very pricy and a very long wait and turnover time. We waited about 25 mins for a seat and easily another 30 for an order of daifuku and red bean soup. Prices are steep (~$15-20 CAD for a single, albeit large, daifuku). Would recommend maybe visiting once if you have the time and cash to burn, but don’t go out of your way...

I love the atmosphere and beautiful Daifuku 大福 lined up there! However it’s a little pricey tho…if you buy the biggest daifuku, it’s over 1,000yen (10USD ish?) which surprised me a lot. I decided to buy some and eat them at my hotel but the fruit inside the daifuku was not fresh at all… so I recommend you to eat it asap.
