Was on holiday in Japan. Our local guide brought us here. Plenty of fresh seafood at ground floor as it is a huge market. Also at ground floor selling local snacks and grille meats. You game for fresh oyster and scallop? They will open it in front of you and you can eat it there and then with sauce or not. We went upstairs and all restaurants were full since it is lunch hours. Japanese culture you qué for your turn. It did not take us long to get out table for 8. We order using picture and numbers. It was the freshest seafood I ever eaten. The best part is wasabi are freshly grind and not out from a tube. It was so good that we ask for more!! If you are in these area I strongly recommend it. Any of the seafoods are good. Price reasonable. Do note and respect their culture "No talking when eating" Being Malaysian we failed and need to be reminded politely by...
Read moreOmicho Kaisendonburiya Hirai is worth seeking out. It's just off to the side of the Omicho Market. The donburiya bowls were very good (as good as some of the places I have been at the Tokyo Fish Market), and the sushi was extremely good. The interior was dark and nothing special, but we were there for the seafood, not the decor. Prices were a touch high, but we feel that the value was ok given the quality of the seafood. I don't understand some of the negative reviews of this place. I am not sure they visited the same place...
