Love this cosy izakaya restaurant in Kanazawa! The is the second time we have been (once in 2019 and 2023)! Food are fantastic! Super fresh and the way master prepares all the dishes just makes us wow! The complimentary sake soup warms your tummy. Nodoguro was done both ways sashimi and grilled. Both so good! Grilled shirako on kombu was amazing!(note that the kombu can be eaten!) The super sweet phantom shrimp we have never come across! Fried tomato with with shiso leaf is refreshing! The crunchy prawn head always superb. Even the fried squid taste so good! Finally we were honored to leave a message on their wall! Love from Malaysia and Singapore! We will be back again! ❤️

I am a traveler from Shanghai. When I entered the door, there were a lot of empty seats, but no one passing by treated me. Even if the stuff helped the customer settle the bill, she ignored me and kept me standing at the door. She just kept saying to me: Please wait a moment.

A very bad dining experience can't be worse. Finally, I asked the stuff why I didn't have a towel, but everyone else had it. The service was very bad. She just said lightly: Oh, haha, I'm sorry.
The food tastes average, and the price is very expensive in Kanazawa. A plate of sashimi platter, a nidoguro grill, a cup of Kaga tea, all in all 5,700 yen.
The poor service with racial discrimination...
Read moreGoogle is behind the times. Wasabikaisen izakaya was remodelled 2 months ago and is now Wasabi restaurant/izakaya. Yep, still an area to sit at the 'bar' but it's more looking at the kitchen. And there is a 15-16 bottle wine list (not sake). Having said that, the food is great & the service very personable. But it's not cheap. Wife & I had 7 dishes (small plates) with 2 bottles of US reisling for ¥21,000. Go to dishes for me were the octopus tentacle 'hot pot', and the shirasu (whitebait) salad. Great food, good service, and comfy. But expect to pay for the quality of both. Yep, we'd go again. 😊 Oh yeah, loved the cute little...
