Sushi Choushi Maru Musashi Kosugi Store — Restaurant in Kawasaki

According to my Japanese friends conveyor belt restaurants are not the best places to eat sushi.... but this place is a BIG exception. We were the only foreigners that day and the place was packed with the young, old and families. Besides taking the wonderful sushi selection rotating round the belt, ordering things on the menu can be quite daunting if you don't know how the system works. The simple trick is to put the item number of your orders on the slips of order sheets found at your table. Get the attention of the sushi chefs inside the counter, pass the order sheet to them and viola... it will be served in a jiffy. Some items are prepare in front of you whereas others are prepared in the inner kitchen. The cheaper plates are seldom on the belt and you should make some of those simple sushi are comfort food and very delicious. One item I enjoyed is the big raw prawns. Stopped by this conveyor belt sushi restaurant for some late lunch. They were doing a Shirako special, but my personal favorite was the aurora salmon from Norway. Loved the large piece of delicious salmon!
