We stumbled upon Keshipearl Café by chance, and what a delightful discovery! The vibe is cozy, warm, and peaceful — though the entrance might trick you into thinking you're stepping into someone’s apartment.
The coffee was delicious, but the real star here is the cheesecake. Rich, gourmet, and deeply flavorful — each bite is worth savoring. We tried the classic, blueberry, and mascarpone varieties.
The slices are small and the forks are tiny, but it actually encourages you to slow down and appreciate every mouthful. While the drink menu is available in English, the cheesecake menu is only in Japanese. Not a problem at all — just snap a photo and use a translator app to read it in your preferred language.
The handwritten menu with beautiful little illustrations adds to the charm. Prices are a bit higher than your average café, but totally worth it for the exclusive experience and enchanting atmosphere.
Heads up: This isn’t the spot for chatting or group hangouts. The café consciously maintains a low profile among tourists — about 90% of their customers are local Japanese patrons who value quiet and privacy. Let’s be respectful travelers and honor the culture, the country, and the people

Read moreI’ve been wanting to eat here for a while, but there’s usually a long line every time I visit. Yesterday, I finally got to try their famous cheesecake! ☺️
I ordered the regular cheesecake and also tried the chocolate one. You can really taste the cheese in the regular flavor. It’s rich but not too sweet, just perfect. The chocolate cheesecake has raspberries, and they complement each other beautifully.
For drinks, I had a caramel macchiato while my best friend ordered a kinako latte. Both were delicious!
The café itself is really aesthetic, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were also very nice and friendly. Highly recommend...
Read moreThis must be my favourite coffee cafe in Kobe. The coffee is amazing, aromatic and sweet, expertly brewed and blended. I bought the grounds back so I could make coffee myself, and the smell and taste is great. Then cake is a must try.
The atmosphere is very calming and menu is filled with cute hand drawn pictures and words. The barista are extremely friendly and even though they spoke mostly Japanese, they spoke with us in English to explain the coffees and chatted with us.
Overall, this is a lovely place I would definitely visit again for the coffee,...
