Hyōtan Sannomiya — Restaurant in Kobe

It's not often I award a 5, but for Gyozas, and atmosphere, this place has it all.

Okay, there's probably going to be a wait to get in. The place only holds 25 people, and even that needs you to be friendly with your neighbour, but the wait is worthwhile.

The gyoza are hot and fresh, and full of flavour. The staff are friendly and helpful. As for atmosphere, the walls and fittings tell tales of 57 years of experience.

Visiting the place quite early in the morning hence it's not too crowded yet. They only sell gyoza for the food. It's really nice especially dipped with their special miso sauce. Perfect!!!

There was a short queue at the front of the restaurant, but it moved quickly. Once in, we ordered their dumplings and some beer, which were served in no time. The highlight was definitely the sauce; it paired so well with the dumplings that we ended up ordering a second plate. It became one of our favourite memories in Kobe.
