We planned our trip to Kobe specifically for the coffee and bakery experiences. We were curious about how a city that started coffee culture in Japan would be like. Kobe did not disappoint us. Especially the coffee part mainly due to "dotccoffee". We planned to visit 3 different shops and 3 different bakeries in one day. We never made our way to the third coffee place due to the fact that we drank 4 different coffees and over dosed on caffeine. We even enjoyed Hojai tea to break up the 4 cups of coffee. What you get in taste is smooth finishing coffee without any bitterness or sourness. It's just a hint of sweetness to enhance the terroir of the specific beans that's being used. That's why we had to drink four different beans in four different ways in omakase. One of a kind way of brewing adds to the whole experience. I don't know if it is worth it to visit Kobe just to taste this coffee like we did, but if you're going to be in Kobe anyway, you should not miss the taste of this unique brew and experience of the artistry...

We stumbled upon this café after seeing its 5-star rating on Google Maps and decided to give it a try—honestly without any expectations. To our surprise, it turned out to be even better than we imagined.
The space is small, but it has a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. What really stood out was the warmth and friendliness of the owner and his coworker—they made the whole experience feel personal and genuine.
Now, the coffee? Absolutely fantastic. Possibly one of the best cups I’ve ever had. Rich, smooth, and clearly made with care and expertise. We chose the share course 3 where you can taste 3 different coffees. Definitely recommend! We also went back for a take away coffee the day after.
This place deserves more than five stars. I wish the owner all the success, and I’ll definitely be recommending this café to friends and family if they ever have the chance to visit Kobe. A hidden gem worth discovering!

Read moreDiscovered this cozy little spot and absolutely loved it! I ordered a café latte for dine-in and an iced houjicha latte to go. Before brewing, they even let me choose the beans for my siphon coffee — I picked the Kenya blend for its bold, slightly bitter, chocolatey undertones. Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious!
The owner and (I think) his wife were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Despite the small, bar-style seating, the atmosphere felt relaxed and unintimidating — perfect for introverts like me, solo diners, couples, or small groups. The space was clean, cozy, and clearly run with care and passion for coffee.
No wait time when I visited (weekday afternoon). Definitely worth visiting for coffee lovers, matcha, and houjicha fans alike. A short but sweet visit — I’d happily...
