Gyukatsu motomura is better. The Kobe beef cutlet was tough and cannot be cut by teeth. Each piece had some tendon that was hard to chew. Also it was overcooked. Curry was borderline over seasoned and maybe even salty. Is hidden in a basement arcade w cheap local restaurants but I don’t think this one’s worth it. (Check out the yakisoba and tempura restaurant next door) Restaurant is pretty small but chef turned down a group of 5 even though there were open tables because he can’t handle the orders and food would take too long. I’ve worked in the restaurant biz before and we would always accommodate for all customers, this seems very unprofessional and unskillful. The scoop of potato on top of the rice, which tasted like water, makes the dish look really cheap. The vegetable should be on the side and not on top of the rice. There was a completely unnecessary 5% service charge which is unheard of in Japan. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreAlmost all food tastes just a bit above average scorringa A- in my book. The meats was juicy and bouncy but it is kind of expensive as well as creamy. The best thing I had in my meal is the beef sushi which is a 5/5 but was dragged down by the main course which was kind of cold. The environment is warm but the fans keep making the lights flash hurting my eyes 3.7/5 in total pretty good for a beef restaurant could unproved with the customer service as it is kind of mediocre as the staff was not as friendly towards foreigners as Japanese customers as well as not refilling the water or picking up the plates making the table crowded and leaving no room for the new dishes💀 the meat was not all there and a lot of meat were sold out even though there were little to no one in the store...
Read moreIf you're looking for an exceptional cut of A5 Kobe Wagyu, this is the place to go.
The restaurant is a bit tucked away in the basement of the mall, but it's absolutely worth finding. From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding. I was greeted warmly and promptly shown to my seat. The chef personally introduced the different cuts of meat and helped me choose. In the end I went with his recommendation.
I've had A5 Wagyu before, but this was on a whole different level. The chef even showed me some rewards and clearly took pride in his craft. He was incredibly attentive throughout the meal!
I’ll definitely be back next time...
