As a meat lover who has enjoyed a wide variety of meats since a young age, I can confidently say that Kobe Beef WASSIA offers an unforgettable dining experience. I opted for the Kobe Beef Dinner Set at just JPY6000 per person, and it was worth every yen.
The meal began with an appetizer of tender beef tendon stewed in miso, which was rich and flavorful, perfectly setting the tone. The kimchi platter added a delightful tangy kick, while the fresh vegetable salad balanced the richness of the meal beautifully. The salted beef tongue and grilled shabu-shabu were cooked to perfection, each bite melting in my mouth.
The highlight, of course, was their famous “Kobe Beef Staircase,” a stunning tiered arrangement of premium cuts.
The meal also came with unlimited rice refills (perfect for pairing with the flavorful meats), comforting egg soup, and a refreshing yuzu ice cream to cleanse the palate.
For those rating this restaurant poorly, let’s face it—they probably didn’t know how to grill the meat properly. Mastering the technique is key to fully appreciating the quality and flavor of Kobe beef.
For a foreigner, this was a 5-star experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone who truly appreciates premium meat....
Read moreDoesn't worth the price. Originally, we thought that it was 8,800 yen for 2 people for the all-you-can-eat course as mentioned in the menu, but the waitress said it was the price for 1 person. We wanted to change to another course, but the waitress said that we had booked an appointment for the all-you-can-eat set and that she didn't seem to let use change (which was not reasonable at all), so we settled with the all-you-can-eat course anyway. The main course was all kinds of rare meats resting on a stage, looked stunning, but didn't taste as well as it looked. The meat was rough and hard to chew. Finally, we finished all the meat on the stage and started to order other kinds of meat. We ordered only one more dish of meat (the loin part). The meat was so fat and didn't have the beautiful fat distribution on the surface of the meat as wagyu beef normally had. Not surprisingly, the meat was not tender at all, and we had a hard time finishing the dish. We stopped ordering any meat after that, and simply searched for dessert...
Read moreIf you’re a fan of Kobe beef, KOBE Beef Wassia in Kobe, Japan is an absolute must-visit. I had the Special Kobe Beef Tower (for two), and it was hands down the best Kobe beef I’ve ever had. Every cut of beef was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The coolest part? You get to cook the beef yourself on their grill, so you can make it exactly how you like it—whether that’s rare or fully cooked.
We were lucky enough to get a private room without a reservation since we came during a quieter time, which made the experience even better. The staff were super friendly, spoke English, and guided us through the menu with ease.
I’ve had Kobe beef back in the U.S., but this place blows all those restaurants out of the water (in my opinion). Honestly, it even beats any steak I’ve had in the U.S., period. If you love beef, especially Kobe beef, you have to check out KOBE Beef Wassia. It’s an unforgettable experience and we’ll definitely come back when we come...
