Minatomachi Mother — Restaurant in Kobe

I came here after a recommendation by JapanEats while I was on holiday in Kobe. This is the best chicken Nanban I’ve ever had. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the restaurant decor was really awesome and the food was amazing. The first time I went, I had the lunch set which came with a really refreshing cold soup which was great because of the summer heat. It was so good I came back again with my daughter one evening and we had the chicken Nanban again. She loved it too - great flavour and really fresh ingredients. We visited at around 1 pm 🕐 on a weekday and there were a couple of tables available when we arrived.

This restaurant boldly claims to serve the world's finest chicken nanban, and maybe they do! I recommend that everyone visits and then they can decide for themselves 😂.

Small cozy and tasty restaurant. Chicken Nanban is the main item on the menu and a must: I’ve never found another place selling this dish as delicious as it is here!
