Kobe Central Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit — Attraction in Kobe

I visited months ago to have confession and attend mass. When I asked the priest if I could do confession, I was refused confession because the priest said he had a meeting and told I should do it in the prefecture I lived in. It’s the first time I was refused confession and the priest wasn’t friendly so naturally I was confused and upset. I did go back and speak with the priest before leaving to attend mass elsewhere and have confession and when I told other people what had happened, they were shocked. Anyhow, I hope the priest in question has not refused anyone since and I guess it was still in my heart months later so I had to leave a review… and although at first I really wanted to attend mass here, I still don’t...

This Catholic church was built in 2004 for the combination of three previous Catholic churches which was broken during 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake. This church also provides the masses in several languages, such as Japan, English, Portuguese, Filipino, and Bahasa Indonesia. The staff were very friendly. I was coming there when there is no mass, and the church were opened too. I felt in love with the diorama, also the style of new Catholic church which I think a bit anti mainstream from other Gothic...

Stopped by this lovely church on my way to Starbucks, loved how simple and yet beautiful it’s interior were. The stained glass panels were gorgeous, unfortunately it was a rainy day when I was there so the stained glass couldn’t shine under the sun. 2 friendly parishioners stopped to have a chat and invited me to their canteen for lunch 😊 Also love that they grow olive trees...
