I came with my sister while we were on a day trip in Kobe. We chose this place as vegans because they offered multiple kinds of vegan proteins!! Soy meat, wheat gluten, and beans!! We got the teriyaki wheat gluten wrap, the veg set which was soy balls and a salad with rice and soup, and then the chili bean nachos without cheese.
The teriyaki wheat gluten wrap was my absolute favorite!!! The texture and flavor were SO delicious.
The soy ball things were good but it didn't taste purely like soy, it also tasted and felt like it was mixed with veggies so it had a mushier texture. It was not as filling maybe because not as much protein? But it was still good, just not what I was expecting when I read it was soy.
The chili bean nachos without cheese is delicious too but the portion is quite small by itself, even though we got the larger size (18 vs 9 tortilla chips) but it was the perfect amount to share for two with the other 2 dishes. We got the side of avocado to go with it and it was yummy. There were more chips than chili bean toppings so maybe next time 9 chips would be more appropriate.

Read moreHorrible lunch. Vegetable burrito was oily and consisted of only red beans in tomato sauce. It came with lettuce and a few drops of dressing. They called it a salad. I call it leaves. Ordered a side of soy bean patty. It was dry, chewy and tasteless. Actually, it tased like cardboard so it wasn’t completely tasteless. Paid ¥1500 for lunch that wasn’t enough and left me hungry even though I don’t eat much. Didn’t even come with a drink. On top of that they refused to refill my water. I had to do it myself although the staff was just standing and chatting amongst themselves.
It was my second lunch here. Both very disappointing. For ¥1500 you could get a good vegetable lunch with a free salad bar, drink and dessert...
Read moreI had high expectations going here, and those expectations were pleasantly met.
Thankfully, not your typical macrobiotic cafe with, honestly very similar food. In fact they had Latin American influenced dishes like nachos, burritos and such; maybe not the most authentic, but pretty good.
Their desserts on the other hand were amazing, probably one of the best vegan dessert I've had across Japan, Taipei and Bali.
Do be careful as not everything is vegan by itself, but usually can be made vegan. So make sure to ask!
For the amount of food provided, and the taste, the price was not cheap but definitely reasonable to slightly pricey. But I'd definitely come again if I'm...
