Shikien — Restaurant in Kobe

Small, 5-6 table Chinese restaurant. Food is ok. One dish was very salty and the other a bit overly sweet. There is a big difference between what you see on the menu and what you actually get. I am sure they as well as all other restaurants are being impacted by the recent inflation. Just as an example I ordered a pork dish with big chunks red and green bell peppers and onions. What I received was two small slivers of green peppers and no red peppers, with a small portion of onions. The egg drop soup was a bit thin on the eggs. Taste was fine! We will definitely go back to try other dishes and perhaps update our reviews. Service was great, the staff was very friendly...

Brought my family ( 4 Adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby) to the restaurant during dinner time on a weekday. The food was great and satisfied my Chinese food cravings!!

The restaurant owners were so kind that they joined two tables to accommodate us as we have to put the baby in the stroller.
