DEWATA BALI CAFE — Restaurant in Kochi

I recently had the pleasure of both dining and enjoying lunch at Dewata Bali Cafe in Kochi for approx. 1 week, and it was an incredible experience. The food was absolutely delicious, offering authentic Indonesian flavors that transported me straight to Bali. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

The service was excellent—staff members were friendly and gracious and they ensured a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting but also calm, with a lovely authentic Indonesian ambiance that made it the perfect place for a relaxed meal.

One suggestion I have is for the restaurant to explicitly add the HALAL food tag online, especially on platforms like Uber Eats. This would greatly help them reach the Muslim community traveling or living in Japan, who are always on the lookout for Halal-friendly dining options.

The owner was very friendly and the food was amazing. It really felt like being back in Indonesia. I arrived a bit late and the shop was already closed, but since I only had a short time in Kochi, I called to ask if I could still try their Indonesian food. The owner kindly answered the call and allowed me to come in and eat.

I tried the bebek (duck) and bakso (meatballs), and both tasted authentic, just like in Indonesia. They also offer many other traditional Indonesian dishes and snacks.

The food was great, the owner are friendly, and the atmosphere was the best.

The taste of the food and the way the owner or even the visitor themself treat me like their own family made me feel like I went back to where I was born, Indonesia.

I tried Nasi Goreng (Fried rice) and it was a 10/10 for me. The coffee brings back my memories when I was still in Indonesia. I haven't tried the other foods tho, but I will if I come back here at the future.
