Kunieda Fish Market — Restaurant in Kumamoto

After spending an hour, researching restaurants in the area online and coming up with some ??? I brought my family of 4 including a 10-year-old and a 14-year-old here. It was a fantastic meal and a great atmosphere. Grateful for the friendly and attentive service despite being busy—they were hustling. We were greeted with a menu in English. We went down the menu and ordered a bunch of things and everything was great. My wife commented that the fried skipjack was as good as the northern pike right put of the lake in Minnesota, which is quite the compliment (if you know you know). Warm welcome here. The foods are reasonable and very fresh, delicious. The owner asked us about the food is okay or not, when she knew we are foreigner students and we came from Kyoto. We told her we enjoyed everything very much. After we finished our dinner, she kindly gave us box of sashimi and said “please enjoy our fresh fish one more again for your breakfast tomorrow” 🥺🥰. Very nice local izakaya/sashimi restaurant with delicious fresh seafood, they also have a small shop for take away.
