Not able to understand English. Suggested that I order a horse meat steak when I told them I wasn't hungry went for the sashimi instead. Meat was very good but it's the first time eating horse meat so not sure if that's how it's supposed to be. There is no distinct flavour for either the meat or fatty parts. But the sauce made the...

The texture of the horse meat is similar to the beef but its taste is not as strong as the beef. Personally I like the horse liver and tongue sashimi. Reservation must be required. Don’t walk in. I am lucky that I could book a table for lunch 2 days in advance. The price of the lunch set is reasonable.

熊本（熊本）・馬料理専門 天國 本店 今回は、馬肉を食べるために早朝から熊本入り。 馬肉を食べて夕方の仕事に備える。 最寄りは田崎橋駅だが、 開店まで時間があったので、熊本駅から歩いて向かう。 真夏の中で、スーツを着るのが大っ嫌いなんですが、わかってくれますよね？ 15分くらい歩いた後、お店に到着。 開店時間が11:30だが、到着時間は11:20くらいだった。 あと10分待たないといけないのかーと思いつつ、 ダメもとでお店の扉を開けて「まだ入れないですよね？」と聞くと、あっさり通してくれた。 暑い中、待つのは結構辛いから、聞いてよかった。 カウンター席に通されると思っていたが、座敷にある4人席のテーブルに通された。 広々使えて、嬉しいね。 注文したのは、「スペシャル定食」（3300円）。 内容は以下。 ・ミニ馬刺し6種盛 ・ヒレステーキ ・ご飯 ・馬汁 ・香の物 馬刺し6種（特上霜降り、タン、レバー、心臓、あばら、たてがみ）は、圧巻のクオリティー。 色々な部位を、この値段で食べれるって幸せ。 それぞれの部位の歯応えの違い、脂の甘味を実感することができた。 ご飯が進むね。 馬刺し食べる時ってニンニクが添えられているイメージだけど、 こちらのお店はニンニクはなかったと思う。 この後、仕事だから、生姜のみで食べることで問題なし。 馬肉のヒレステーキは、ちょっと冷めてる？ これが通常なのかな。 もっと熱々の方が好みだったかな。 甘めのタレで、肉質も柔らかく美味しかった。 ------------------------------------------------ 価格：3300円 ------------------------------------------------

熊本にビジネスの用件が出来、出張。 早朝のフライトで行ったため、昼頃には、一段落。 先方が予め予約してくれていたこちらのお店に、ビジネスランチで移動。 クルマで移動したので、正確な場所は分かりませんが、熊本駅からも徒歩圏内だと思います。 １Fが駐車場となっておりますので、階段をあがり、2Fに。 2Fはお座敷とカウンターの構成。 私たちは、奥の部屋のお座敷テーブルに案内されました。 メニューを見て、先方が「こちらがお薦めですよ」と言ってくれたのが、「馬刺六種盛定食」（¥3200） やはり、熊本と言えば、筆頭は馬刺しですね！ こちらのお店は、ランチタイムの終了時間が非常に早くて、12：30なんです。 なので、オーダーすると、すぐに定食が登場しました。 東京辺りで馬刺しは勿論食べられますが、その時には、2種類くらいが盛られている感じですが、こちらの定食は6種の部位が盛られていて、見ててもなかなか映えます。 この6種は、「特上、アバラ、心臓、タン、レバー、たてがみ」だそうです。 レバーだけ醤油ではなく、薬味付きの油をつけて食べるようです。 地元の方も、これだけの部位が食べられるお店はそう多くはないと言っていました。 さすがにランチなので、各種の量は少々物足りない感じがしますが、それでも、お肉は新鮮で、 とても美味しい。 私は、食べることが出来ない「たてがみ」が気に入りました。 たまにキズなのは、やはり時間が少ないので一生懸命食べることに専念さざるを得ないこと。 それでも、満足です！ 次回の機会があれば、夜の部で利用してみたいものです。 (20250207)
